Setting the theme

Sometimes, coming up with a theme for an event can be a challenge. What color scheme should you use? Are there any hot trends this year? What best fits the tastes of the guests or hosts? In many cases, an event will have a special theme such as a ‘Vintage Wedding’, ‘Vegas Casino’ or ‘nightclub’. The possibilities are endless.

If you’re not sure what theme you may want for your event, don’t be afraid to discuss this with your Atlanta event design and production team. Let them know what your intentions, ambitions, and objectives are and they will be able to help you come up with a specific theme or tone for the event.

The theme can help deliver an unparalleled experience, so it’s a good idea to come up with a cohesive and creative one. Allow your event to tell a compelling story by filling it with details that really make an impact. Embellishments and décor that support the theme and convey the message typically go beyond the color palette, music, food, and venue. It just takes a few thoughtful details to make the event consistent and cohesive, leaving guests with an experience that stands the test of time.

There will always be themed décor at an event - place settings, centerpieces, and other small details that play a role in the look and feel of the experience. Take it a step further by using real objects – custom-made props – rather than decorations whenever possible. For example, if you’ve got a baseball theme, why not have a scaled version of the green monster as the focal point of the room?

Inspiration can come in many forms, so look for it everywhere. Always be open to consider new possibilities for your next event; doing so can help guests feel transported to another world during the occasion. To achieve this goal, it’s a good idea to work with an event planning and design company that’s up to the challenge and can help you create something different and spectacular.
